Psique is a beautiful young who is admired by everyone, is the youngest of three sisters. Despite if being so beautiful she doesn´t have pretenders to married. For this reason, his father visit an oracle (Mileto) and get to know that she is cursed by Venus for been as beautiful as the goddess; Psique fall in love of the most evil of the men and must be offer over a rock in the higher of a mountain. After many anguished days Psique is taken to her destiny, she is leaded by Cefiro towards an splendid palace in which she is welcome as a queen. A voice indicate her that this is her home and that everything there belongs to her. Her husband visit her and accompanied every night but in the day he scumble.
He tell her it have to be careful and she musn´t heard the weeping of her sisters because its cause her troubles. Psique´s sisters get to known about the death of their sister, locate the rock and go to mourn there, he accept but warn that she musn´t tell anything about him. Psique look her sisters and share with theirs, she showed them her treasures and when one of them ask for her husband, Psique tells a lie to her sisters.
When they leave Psique give them many gifts and remains calm thinking about her fathers who won´t suffer anymore, but her sisters are driven by the envy and plan to finish her and stay with her fortune. They look for her again and Psique insist in meet them again; her husband accept. The sisters tell Psique that her husband is a monster and suggest her that kill him with a dagger as he is asleep.Psique believe in their words and at night get close to the bed with a lamp and a dagger, but she get aghast to realise that her husband is the god Cupid. She touch the god´s arrows,prick the finger and fall in love with love, but with a drop of oil from the candle burn to Cupid and awakes him; he leaves and abandon her. Desesperate, Psique try to kill herself, she survive and decide to revenge of her sisters, they throw themselves from the same rock tempt by the ambition.
After that Psique start to look for her love, Venus get to know about her son has fall in love and gets angry because he has disobey her orders. So, Venus, sends for Psique and when find her, three dificult task are given to her in order to get the approve of her love with Cupid. Psique achieve complete all the task (with divine help and the last with Cupid´s help). Cupid talk to Jupiter so he intercede for he and his love, the powerful God help him in return of the most beautiful of the mortals will be offer to him.
Their marriage is legitimate, Psique is turned to goddess after that they have a daughter call her voluptuousness.
