This is one of the most horrifying tales of the missionary author. The protagonist of the tale, a young marriage, have had four sons who, unfortunately, after suffering epilepsy attacks, remain with their mental capacity diminish to almost nothing.

For desesperation of their parents, they sit all day long in the bench of the garden watching who knows what. They only have conserved some intelectual notion which allow them to developt a minimun imitative skill. Eventually copy what they saw to do.

Meanwhile, the parents had a daughter who in spite of their terribles fears pass the age in which the four brothers have suffered attacks and she is normal. As it is to suppose she was the only hope who iluminate the horizon of the desolate parents. The idiots-that is how the author call them- were the live memory of a cruel nature and with their presence only made that the wound between them recrusdesce, they are a shame, an atrocity that can not be come apart.

One day, the cooker is in the kitchen killing and cleaning a hen, As she works, feels a presence: there were the four idiots who watch with brilliant eyes and drool---horrified, she take them out of the kitchen.

Few days later the parents come back from the street with the girl and at the moment to enter to the house, they came across some neighbors and start talking. The girl enter alone to the house--- when they come to search for her, only find an inmensous spot of blood as the brothers keep decapitating her as the hen which have seen kill in the kitchen days ago---
