Doors to Other Worlds

Book Review by: CatherineGallagher

Original Author: Raymond Buckland
This is a book about spirit mediumship -- its history, practice,
development, varieties, practitioners, legal ramifications,
limitation
(in Great Britain AND the United States), and cautions to do with this
subject.
There are a number of exercises and meditations to develop one's own
psychic powers and abilities, as well as examples and stories from the
lives practice of experienced trance mediums. There are also
suggestions and directions for those interested in both personal and
mutual development (as in a Circle of interested people working
together).
For the skeptic, there is a chapter on fraud and fraudulent mediums, as
well as details of the tricks used and often how they are, or were,
done.
At the end of the book is a fairly extensive bibliography on psychic
development, history, techniques and experiences. It includes the books
referred to in the text of the book, as well as others that the author
has found useful and interesting.
