The Running Press Cyclopedia: Dreams

Book Review by: PollyE

Original Author: David C. Lohff
Ever since I have gotten the book Dreams, I have used it regularly to interpret my dreams. I love how they have the book
set up into sections, making navigation through the book so much easier. As well as interpreting my own dreams similar.
There is the overview of what dreams are, giving you an in-depth look at where dream interpretation started as well as the history of dreams. Using them to understand ourselves and the world around us better.
Then there are the other chapters that cover dream images, theories and theorists. This makes understanding your own dreams so much easier. Just go to the images that appeared in your dream and read the meanings. A big difference with this book is that there are symbols, images, and icons available, but you do the interpretation, you decide what it means, by looking at yourself and looking inward to understand what your dreams are trying to tell you. They give you references that are within the book to look up as well and so that you will have a deeper understanding of yourself and your dreams.
That's where the sections on common dream types, dream quotes, and keeping a dream journal come in handy. You are able to use these additional resources that right inside the book to continue your interpretation and meaning of the dreams you are having. As well as, keeping your dream journal at your finger tips too.
This is one of my favorite dream books that I have. Small and compact, I can take it with me when traveling and have it with me at all times. A definite must have when doing dream interpretations.
