Only Love Is Real

Book Review by: ankita shreeram

Original Author: Dr. Brian L. Weiss
Once in a while there comes a word, a sentence that has the power to transform your life completely. 'Only Love Is Real'
by Dr. Brian L. Weiss is replete with such phrases. As the title suggests, this book is all about love. No, it is not a mushy romantic story or a dry scientific analysis of love. This is the story of two people who have shared a soul-to-soul bonding throughout centuries, through numerous lifetimes. And after all this while, they are about to unite again so that each of them will be complete again. Dr. Weiss is a psychiatrist who practises various techniques of hypnosis which help his patients to rid themselves of sapping relationship patterns or unexplained fears just by revoking their past, a past that goes even beyond this lifetime. The book touches the depths of your heart and tears threaten when Dr. Weiss says with such conviction that everyone has a soulmate and we WILL meet them. The thing is to recognize them. A smile, a memory, a gesture, a feeling of warmth, anything can awaken you to the existence of your soulmate. They may be right before your eyes and yet you may be blind. This book connects spiritual evolution and true love. When all else fails, love endures. Love can flourish even in the bitter cold of the Alaskas and the searing heat of the Saharas. Love knows no boundaries, no obstacles. This is a magical book that will definitely evoke something within you, that had not arisen before. The book emphasises on life after death, on the oneness of God and the senselessness of distinctions in sex, religion, nationality, race et al. The message of the book is to embrace the present and quit worrying about the future. The heart-warming significance of the story of Elizabeth and Pedro is that ultimately, you have to come back to love. And true love is eternal, it has neither birth nor death. I strongly recommend you to read the other books by Dr. Weiss as well.
