The story is about a teacher (Pascale Descot), who adopts an orphan child (Nissa). The events that occur have Paris in a modern world rife with hostilities and tragedies. Every person has been through at least one painful experience, but towards the end of the book, one realizes that despite all the atrocities, life is beautiful and everyone has potential to be happy. Melanie Smit teaches us that it is possible for us to free our spirit and discover harmony and peace, irrespective of whatever the circumstances may be. This is a novel filled with hope, friendship, love and humor which will provide you with a moment of pleasurable relaxation. In addition, it can be read quite easily.
