Tuesdays with Morrie

Book Review   by:saltandpepper     Original Author: Mitch Albom
ª

A ‘final thesis’ coached by Morrie, a professor to his student Mitch over a period of fourteen weeks before Morrie died. Through the last moment of his life with fast decaying physical body, he gave his overwhelmed love and wisdom to Mitch.

Once a week on those Tuesdays, Mitch met Morrie in his office. They talked about the world, they talked about feeling sorry for oneself, regrets, death, family, emotions, fear of aging, money, love, marriage, culture, forgiveness and many more. All the coaching comes in informal classes with simple words and lots of love and wisdom.

Morrie died after fourteen weeks of meetings. Though his death wasn’t arranged, the topics they have covered seem to be complete as a lesson for life, yet the learning goes on throughout the whole life time.

This is a book that makes you shed your tears and a book that moves you to start contacting people you have been longing to talk to. It is not a coaching merely to his student Mitch but a coaching of life for everyone.
