Brida

Book Review   by:mzcharismatic     Original Author: Paulo Coelho
ª

When you look at the cover of the book "Brida",you see a young lady standing in a wheatfield or walking through it and you can immediately decipher that the lady is in search of something.
Just like his previous book "The Alchemist" where a boy follows his dream, "Brida" is a story of a young Irish girl wanting to learn the secrets of magic and occult powers. She meets two teachers, a wise old man and a woman both help her discover her Gift and let her choose her own path to follow in life.
The popularity of his previous book and the unusual name "Brida" tempted me to read it.
I am almost to the end and I can say that the book is pretty engaging. It takes you to a different world, a world of mystery inhabited by witches, mages, spirits and indicates that the purpose of our being is to find our Soulmate, the description of which is very different from what you must have ever known.
