Stephanie Plum is from New Jersey. She is a laid-off unemployed who used to work in a lingerie discount store. She is a smart and honest hardworking lady. Stephanie has a hamster, a grandmother and two very loving and caring parents with her several pairs of bikers shorts that she wears and a sports bag that she carries around where she goes. She needs a job fast to pay her rent and her groceries. She has an opportunity and a chance to work for her cousin Vinnie in his bail-bounty business. She wants Vinnie to pay her 10,000 for the job. She doesn't have a gun and has never been arrested in her personal life. Stephanie knows about the specific requirements for her job but her new partner Ranger can teach her how to catch crooks. She becomes a bounty hunter and she has enough money to buy her own gun to use and a Chevy Nova car to drive to work. Stephanie is after Joe Morelli, the guy who took away her teenage virginity at age 16 behind the pastry case in the Trenton bakery where Stephanie used to work after school. Ranger and Stephanie have a powerful relationship between the two of them working together which is very interesting. Her work is very dangerous when Stephanie bumps into a heavyweight rough and mean Benito Ramirez who is after women. His obsession is after Stephanie it could lead to murder and other obstacles in her dangerous job. I strongly recommend this book to read this is the first time that I am reading Janet Evanovich she is a excellent writer she writes about crime in a funny and interesting way along with funny romance mixed in between which I enjoyed reading it is a fun and entertaining book to read. A must read book for Janet Evanovich fans like me I can't wait for the next book to come out and read it.
