This is the story of three heroes,
Duan Yu,an idealist, pacifist and prince from the kingdom of Da Li, ran away from his palace home in an effort to avoid learning his family's highly sought after martial art technique. Travelling the land in search of adventure, he will meet many female friends that seems to always turn out to be daughters of his father by different women...

In a drinking match, the leader of the Beggar Sect, Qiao Feng, whose enormous drinking ability is matched only by his valour and strength, became sworn brothers with Duan Yu, and as the duo went to attend a meeting of the Beggar Sect members, Qiao Feng's life will ultimately change as he discovers his dark past exposed to him and his Beggar Sect. And as the people he loved is murdered one by one with himself suspected as the main culprit, he is forced to flee the people he considered his family and the land he considered his home.

Xu Zhu was just a common monk of Shao Lin with mediocre martial skills when he left with his master to attend a gathering. Upon solving a chess match by chance, he was given immense internal energy making him an equal to the strongest martial arts masters.

Each searching for their destiny, they will cross paths, find their future and discover their pasts. Reuniting and separating, their fates bound by their culture as well as their beliefs. Their journeys abound towards the path of legends, heroship and kingship.
