Rebecca Bloomwood, everyone calls her Becky, is a financial journalist. She is impulsive, lively and liked by almost everyone. But there's one flaw about her, she has a severe addiction to shopping. she shops like she breathes. Her salary as a financial journalist is not enough for her expenses. She buys scarves, dresses, coats, bads, matching shoes, greeting cards, christmas gifts (even when christmas is eight months away), and so much more. She buys thinking she'll need it some day, and then forgets about it completely. Soon enough she is in a deep debt. She doesnt know how to stop this addiction of hers.
Luke Brandon, the head of a PR company, is very much attracted to Becky. But he doesn"t know of her addiction, as she lies very smoothly and very often. Becky is also attracted to Luke, but comes to know so a little late. Then she comes to know of Luke's girlfriend. And quarrels with him. Becky reports a story of a company and how its financial schemes are not the least bit in benefit for its customers. Becky is called on aTV show, for this report, but then she realizes that the fraud company is a client of Luke's PR company. So, she has to have this interview, with Luke, where he'll try to undo the damage Becky has done to his client. But surprisingly, he accepts all the allegations made by Becky. Becky is surprised. She wins.
Finally Luke says he loves her, and then they are together, she is offered a job at the TV show as a financial advisor. She is also given a huge pay chech for her effort against the fraud company. with that she pays of the debt and her life is back on track.
