My personal relations to the book- I had to do a book project this year for school so I wanted to do a Stephen King book. So I grabbed "Night Shift" considering that it was the shortest one at the library for my project.
Summary - I can't summarise this book because it is a collection of multiple stories.
About- As I said its a collection. And during the review I will talk about a few of the stories that I remember the best.
Review- This book was fun to read and good bit of these storys I found funny at times.
the top 3 stories I remember the most are... START THE TOP 3 COUNT DOWN!!!
Number 3- "The Mangler" was about a possesed machine that would "eat people" they would go to slide something into the machine (sorry I forget the exact type of machine) and even when the machine would be unplugged it would pull you in and rip you to shreds.
Number 2- "Night Shift" The second story in the book about well... Rats Rats and more Rats. Men went down into the basement of an old house to clean (I'm assuming) and they find Giant Rats there about the size of a cat (as Stephen King put it) not nessaserily scary just kinda cool to think about.
Number 1- "The Boogyman" It may be a movie (made in like 2007?) but its not nessisarly that similar (besides the fact that theres a boogyman in a closet) well anyway... This story terrified me even alittle bit to this day! A man goes to a phyciatrist and tells him about how his kids were murdered (by the way 3 kids) by the boogyman. In the end he is killed by the boogyman. I never was afriad of the boogyman until I read this book. If I see a shadow near my closet or my closet is even slightly open I freak out.
Overal the book had many short stories just that ... they were not that scary just either... cool or funny
considering that I liked some stories better than others... 8/10 good book for 80% of the time.
