Romain married to Agnes and father of one child Guillaume, alone when his wife goes render visit to his mother for some days during the holiday of his son. Romain works in the ski resort to Valdoré like valet to the Edelweiss hotel

After one sort instant Romain see that his brother has taken these keys, he tries to runs after him and he arrives to the téléphérique, inside he fells a strange fear that he has already felt. In the same cabin there is a young woman who she is taken of a panic fear and he attempts to reassure her. After this animated journey, he returns with her at the hotel, and he asks her if she want takes a bath, she accepts.
Ellie is a young woman of twenty five old year and coming of New Zealand and is here for his work. She is without gene and without modesty. She is naked in his room and he doesn’t react really. When he wants to go, she asks him to stay and he passes the night with her.
But to his awaking, one hand caresses him that indicates him that she has envy to make love. Now she is awaked and she wants him. The 14 July, Romain and Ellie are alone in the téléphérique during the fireworks. Romain looks like totally lost, paralyzed but after one moment he is entailed him in the phantasmagorical games that Ellie undertakes. After have make love, he asks her to never call him and hope her all the happiness of the world.
This book narrates in fact the love of Romain for his wife Agnes even if he has been unfaithful during his travel to his mother, but the story doesn’t tell if she forgives him.
