Ranger’s Apprentice: Book 2: The Burning Bridge is the second book in the Ranger’s Apprentice series. Will, Horace and Gilan go to the country of Celtica and discover something is terribly wrong while Halt accompanies Alyss on a diplomatic mission.
This book was even better than the previous book, and The Ruins of Gorlan was an excellent book. The characters receive more development and the action scenes are even better and more exciting than the book before. And it’s hard to top how good the first book is, but The Burning Bridge does just that, it’s a great book and builds on the established characters while introducing us to new ones.
If you enjoy a good fantasy book and you’re looking for something to read, the Ranger’s Apprentice series is definitely worth your time. The story becomes more interesting and the plot improves upon the last. The characters get development, which is always good and the action scenes are very well written and detailed, and yet the book is faced paced and enjoyable to read.
I highly recommend this book series because it’s an excellent, well written and entertaining fantasy series. There’s very little to dislike in the Ranger’s Apprentice by John Flanagan. It has everything that makes a fantasy story good and I will definitely be buying this series for my bookshelf.
As a note for parents, there is some violence and some swearing, you might want to read this first before deciding if your child should read it. Nothing to strong or objectionable, but I thought that it might be helpful
