Pandulipi

Book Review   by:SanatAryal     Original Author: Krishna Dharabasi
ª

Pandulipi can be described as a life novel which deals with general routines and common schedules of Mr. Krishna Dharabasi, author of this very novel. He smells the senses and touches the hearts of people whoever go through this piece of literature. As usual he uses his simple but demonstratedexperiences throughout this novel.

He has scrutinized lives and deaths in very sensitive ways.He even allowed his inner visions to participate in this book. Pandulipi can be observed as the continuation of his previous novel “Adha Bato”. Loss of author’s dad, mom and then beloved better half Sita Ji, the story of the novel is spinning around the latter’s past and present.

Since the novel “Pandulipi” itself is the autobiography of Mr. Dharabasi, he hasn’t missed any chance to mention his imperative know-how whether bitter or sweet. His encounters with problems, writing principles and commitments are well established as we move ahead. Because of all these capabilities and enthusiastic adventures, Pandulipi creates an amazing imprint in Nepali literature.

Each and every events in this very novel is characterized by author’s ups and downs, rising and falling and existing family circumferences. The delightful memorable moments like Mr. Dharabasi ‘s departure to Germany, his novel “Radha”, receiving honorable Madan prize and his successful writing career, Publishing of Sita Ji’s novel “Ma Hideko Bato “ make readers entertained and happy. While others like, author’s struggling days and stressful circumstances, Sita Ji’s painful ailment (cancer) followed by her demise generate tearful eyes.

Anyways, Pandulipi is a great novel and I would like to thank Mr. Krishna Dharabasi for serving such a beautiful gift to literature lovers. I appreciate and wish him a flourished life ahead.
