The last of the Dark
Tower series, this
book delivers all that its predecessors promised. Picking up suspense-threads from where the last Dark Tower book left off, it spins even more. So we follow gun-slinging Roland and his kat-tet as they finally approach their goal: the tower. This
novel's best enjoyed by those who've read the previous ones-various unresolved characters are given their definitive ends. But even for first
time gunslingers, this novel is a blast. king's overdone the gore this time, even by his own standards. But what lifts him from 'pop-fiction' to 'literary hall of fame' is how he connects this to his earlier novels-knitting a unity that makes you sorry you aren't reading more of him.
