dealing with men from Mars or further coming to Earth, though never in peace. In The`Descent, Jeff Long skillfully builds a different scenario, are we alone here on our planet. Starting with a cave in the high Himalayas, through the war zone of the former Yugoslavia, we are gradually drawn in to another world, the one beneath our feet. On the journey down we are given examples of corporate double dealing as a wild west style land grab starts up in the underworld, we are shown heroism, cowardice, fear and love. A fascinating story of hell, superbly told.
