The eyes of the dragon
The story revolves around the core of
royalty in
Delaine and the past believes in the
occult. The chief character of the story is
prince peter, the elder son of
king of Delaine named Roland. The prince also has a brother who is six years younger than him, called prince Thomas. Both the boys suffer the loss of motherly love and care since she passed away after Thomas’s birth. Prince Peter is the declared hero of the story since the beginning, so one eventually finds oneself always wanting to side along with him. Sometimes it seems to be unfair, the way Peter is being shown as the most intellectual, brave, strong and handsome guy that there is. He’s got the typical, chocolate hero, image. He is his father’s favorite and also the most loving towards his father. Where as Thomas bears the negligence of not only his father, but that of the entire Delaine. He is neither too
smart nor is he handsome. Secondly, the most deadly person alive is, Flagg, the court magician and king Roland’s chief advisor. He tries to get peter out of his way, as peter is too smart to get his head filled with evil ideas from Flagg. Whereas Thomas is already depressed and only finds Flagg’s company in his lonely life. So flag decides to destroy delaine with evil, by getting peter accused of murdering king Roland… that obviously he hasn’t. Peter gets imprisoned for life in the highest and loneliest dungeons. But he is a smart prince, so he kills his time there, making a long rope out of napkin threads, for his escape. Story takes a turn when Thomas discovers that it was Flagg who killed Roland. Therefore Thomas later confronts Flagg, and helps his brother get his seat as the king.
