Sense and Sensibility

Book Review by: Tashianka

Original Author: Jane Austin
Sense and Sensibilty is a classic novel written by Jane Austin in 1795. Taking this into account
the language is difficult at times but, do not let this discourage you from a fantastic read.
The story begins at Norland park in Sussex (England), and revolves for the largest part around two girls Elinor Dashwood and her younger sister Marianne. The young ladies lives are suddenly changed when their father dies; and they find themselves along with their mother and youngest sister, left without much money. For, the estate their father had inherrited from a late uncle, due to stipulations in his uncles will, was left to their only brother.
Thus, the Dashwood women are forced from their home. Luckily a distant cousin offers them a cottage in Devonshire near his home ( Barton Park) for an affordable rate. So it is here that the ladies remove theirselves to; making many new friends and acquaintences. This to is also where Elinor and Marianne really begin their trials of the heart. Trials that send them from Devonshire to London and back with a lot of battles in both places. See who handles these battles with ease and who suffers the most; by enjoying this heart warming classic.
