The Palliser Novels is a sequence of novels written by 19th century English novelist Anthony Trollope. It comprises of six novels. < br/> The novels deal with the political and Parliamentary life. The main character is the wealthy and politician Plantagenet Palliser, the Liberal politician who appeared first in a Barsetshire novel, The Small House at Allington, together with his wife, Lady Glencora (except the last book.)
The plots in these novels usually involve English politics, particularly, in and around Parliament.
The sequence includes the following: Can you Forgive Her? (1864), Phineas Finn (1869), The Eustace Diamonds (1873), Phineas Redux (1874), The Prime Minister (1876), and The Duke's Children (1879).
It's interesting to note that Trollope's other series, "Chronicles of Barsetshire, also six Novels, stands in contrast with these Palliser novels, as Barsetshire series deal with a fictional county rural life.
