The Client is a
novel written by John Grisham, who also wrote The Firm , a bestselling book.
The plot is simple. It is compelling yet warm-hearted as it involves an 11-
year-old
boy and the FBI. Mark Sway discovers the body of an American Senator, and where he is buried. This case has been one most perplexing that has dragged on for a while. The body is FBI's crucial evidence in the case against an untouchable Mafia boss. Mark has been watching movies to know how the Mafia works. A smart
young boy, he thinks things out – that if he decides to cooperate with the FBI, the Mafia will kill him in revenge. If he keeps his secret, the Mafia will still want him to silence him forever.
Reggie Love, a newly qualified and middle-aged
lawyer, becomes the ally of Mark against the Mafia thugs, the FBI, and police. And Reggie is determined to help his 11-year-old client. Together, they make a terrific, formidable team against all the odds for the boy. Mark is a lively character, while Reggie is a caring lawyer. A deep friendship forms between the young client and the lawyer, an unlikely pair, and their adventures make the novel an enjoyable story despite the crime and drama.
