Nishi was seven years old. The
little girl was fond of dancing and acting. She was fond of music as well.
Nishi had made a decision that she will become a Bollywood Actress when she grows up. Eventhough her dream could get fulfilled only when she is all grown up yet she was pretty happy being a child. But sometimes some children are not destined to enjoy a carefree childhood. Although the little girl came from a fairly rich and decent family background. The family atmosphere brought early maturity to her and her elder sister. Both
girls were chirpy, intelligent with sharp intellects and excellent grasping power. The atmosphere , however, tied up there chirpness to create coarse, matured and eroded individuals who learnt the hardships of life much before the time. They became emotionally insecured and refused to trust anyone.
The reason for this insecurity was their
father who constantly exposed their little hearts to his vulnerabilities. His constant miscalculated judgements and his inability to own up his mistakes made them suffer. Their father was a selfcentered man who overrated his intelligence. He lacked the capacity to
face adversity bravely and the mental strength to overcome it. Instead of being an anchor for his wife and children he thrusted his weight on their delicate shoulders. He was a pessimist who forced his family to participate in his sob stories which always had a pessimistic end. The free flowing optimistic and ambitious nature of his two girls with a magical spark of innocent childhood contradicted his routine and dry mentality. When nishi was nine and her sister was eleven years old, their father went on a leave following fears of facing arguments with his Seniors. The family was in a financial crisis.
Their mother gathered the money which she had earned during her working days to support the household. The children had to curb their educational expenses. The little demands the girls made were not only overlooked but they were made to realise that they were being irresponsible by putting forward such demands.Their tears dried up in their little
eyes. Ruchi , Nishi's elder sister accepted the role of a grown up matured
girl who tried to control her sisters childish tantrums and anger. Nishi, however, tried in vain to revolt against the on going injustice and her father's irresponsible nature.
Hence, she often became the victim of her Father's rage. But as the years passed the little girl gave up her fight considering the problems and tensions her Mother faced due the family squabbles. The girls were, now, in their early teens . They looked extremely gorgeous and simply divine. They had become enough mature to camouflage their wounds and put a pretenscious charming smile on their face. They appeared to be happy, cool and full of life. The reality never showed on their face, eyes and in their behavior.
People thought of them to be a rich man's beloved daughters who get their every desires fulfilled, when the reality was totally opposite. Their father suffered from a serious ailment and once again the entire family was in a big crisis. Ruchi had a crucial exam approaching and nishi was still in middle school.
