Haruki has an absolutely brilliant way of writing and it shows through in this book. Heis able to blend the deep philosophies
of life with the surreal paradigm.He makes the reader think beyond the realm of normal life.Kafka on the shore, is a tribute to the surreal. They way its staged amidst the real and imaginative is worth appreciating.
The book is captivating, you wouldnt want to put it down from the word go. It deals with topics which can be contraversial and way of writing is absolutely beautiful. there are no slow moments in the book. Each chapter is a new avenue into the world of mystery. Fishes pour down from the sky, cats can talk,dead soldiers are not dead,people teansmit themselves into a different era .. Anything is possible.
But then again do not get judgemental and brush it aside as a mere fantasy. Kafka on the shore is beyond any fantasy can go.For all you know they may be realities of other world and Haruki's imaginations take you there. Its worth reading this book.
