The Twin

Book Abstract by: SM THOMPSON

Original Author: Gerbrand Bakker
Charges mount up and I plead innocent of not writing about books but I do fortunately receive weekly a blog from the California
Literary Review and today is no exception ... I have been considering the relationship with the United States of America and The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland ... we are divided by a common language but then books create a union or unity of language and this book ... "The Twin" by Gerbrand Bakker is an interesting addition to the canon of interesting novels on a wide spread of classic tales of useful information since afterall thats all a novel is concerned to communicate ...
The writer Gerbrand Bakker - creates a plain phrasing of text .. but the problem is a lethargic pace ... possibly a slowness in approach ... flat as the Dutch Landscape .. . saves all the hill climbing I guess!
But on its positive side ... moody sense of colour mostly gray or blue and a silvery image a silvery insight breaking into a dull day ..... its almost like that famous London skyline I read about once which was described as /gray/!  The novel is located in a modern world and linking with a rural world .... sounds a good read .. enjoy this book .... The Twin by Gerbrand Bakker!  Good stuff!
