This novel begins with a meeting between Saddam Hussein and
terrorist Mugniyeh, for giving a plan for an atomic bomb with
23 Kgs of Uranium. He discusses with Osama Bin Laden the plans for killing Americans. They discuss with Maj. Gen. Habib Bol, former Chief of Pakistan’s ISI, and Abdul Sharif Ahmad a nuclear physicist, about making Islamic bomb. One nuclear device is proposed to be smuggled out from Pakistan and detonated in New York. After six weeks they remove one atomic bomb, fix a detonation system and take to Bombay via Jaiselmer. Mugniyeh recruits 3 volunteers to receive the bomb in USA. A container from Bombay in SS jewel of India seeks entry to the port of South Hampton. The
President’s office receives an e mail from Warriors of the Jihad about their positioning of a nuclear bomb in New York, giving details of baggage number, place and colour of suitcase, and a threat of detonating in five days, if Israel is not forced to pledge to vacate the land taken. The Control centre, NSA, Emergency Response Centre and FBI are alerted. In the suitcase, FBI finds highly enriched uranium piece, discs and designs, which are sent for check up. President’s meeting in White house discusses the involvement of Osama Bin Laden, Pakistan making Islamic Bomb, options and actions to be taken in any eventualities. The metal in the suitcase appears to have come from Pakistan. Bush telephones Mushareff, who later informs that one atomic bomb, is missing from Pakistan. Commissioner Kelly puts officers for all items of ships offloaded in last thirty days at Port Elizabeth, and directs to use nuclear explosive search teams and mobile vans having gamma ray detectors. The
terrorists shifted the bomb to the fourth floor of a building. New York Mayor Bloomberg and Governor Patki are called by President. Mushareff reports that Dr. Ahmad has admitted to stealing the bomb. But he explains the reasons for it. Then Rice speaks to him and a solution appeared to be close. President speaks to Ariel Sharon about dismantling of the settlements in Palestine, but he does not agree. They are 2 packages, said to be rice from SS Jewel of India. Police officials visit the person who ordered these rice containers, and the likely place of terrorists hiring a vehicle for transportation. Rice goes in Air Force One to Karachi. She shows the video tape of effects of Japan bombing to Dr. Ahmad, due to which he is horrified, but he talks about sufferings of Palestinian people. She tells him about the likely retaliation by USA or Israel in Pakistan, wiping it off the world map. He is shaken. Rice tells him to help to save people. But he does not know about location or the persons handling bomb. President announces in White House the success of the mission of Rice, and directs to make mobile number attached to this bomb inoperative from anywhere in the world, but NSA says that it is impossible. After arrival Rice gives details saying that Dr. Ahmad has agreed to help in communicating with the concerned persons. But then the news comes that Dr. Ahmad is killed in a road accident, probably murdered. The woman terrorist is given go-ahead by Mugniyeh. The helicopter search group picks up radiation for some time and gets misled, since the terrorists have sent many pigeons with radioactive rings in the atmosphere. Bloomberg and Kelly discuss about evacuation. There is a proposal that USA should attack and take over the settlements. Having got details of likely attack from USA on Israel, the cabinet discusses and decides to fight the attack by USA. Ariel phones Bush. The three terrorists quarrel between themselves and Omar is killed by Khaled. There is news of homicide of a person having no left hand, a suspected person. But there they see a woman’s inner garments also. The proprietor sees the photo of the woman and confirms it. Having seen a carton of Mimosa Pizza, they get confirmation from that shop, that lady has been taking three pieces several times. A Pakistani having a building, who rents to people, is shown photos of two persons. He confirms renting room to them and their taking a heavy package up. Using small size camera and mike, they find that only one man is there. Using infra red cameras they see the box and confirm it to be bomb. Using Porta Power system, Khaled is blasted to pieces. Faraday cage is brought to cover this bomb, so that no telephone signal can reach it. Then huge burst of water floods the device and the room. NEST representative Gladys Simpson cuts 3 wires one by one, making the bomb safe. When informed, President and others pause for a moment of silence in thanks to all. A committee is appointed to find what went wrong and what to do in future. He phones to Ariel Sharon to resolve the Palestinian Israel problem. Osama Bin Laden switches on the CNN TV in his hide out, but he gets some other news. On dialing the secret cell number of the bomb, he hears a voice that it is temporarily out of service. Later on, Bush gives medals to the concerned persons. It is no doubt an interesting novel.
