Harbison's Shoe Addicts Anonymous was so fun and thankfully a breath of fresh air after the bad luck I've recently
had with finding an entertaining, enjoyable book.
Harbison mixes a group of women eclectic in their own ways that share a passion and love for designer shoes and can't afford them. Each woman faces their own personal dilemma that is resolved by the book's end by the friendships they establish together. One woman faces extreme debt, another has a fear of leaving her home and venturing into public, while another young woman battles her vindictive employer, and the last woman of the foursome deals with a cheating husband and a political reputation to uphold.
Although I am personally not obsessed with the love of shoes, I found this novel hard to put down and easily engaging. Any fan and reader of chick-lit will absolutely love this book, and I am eagerly looking forward to reading the rest of Harbison's collection.
