This book subdues the
reader with a barrage of innane, over particular
analyis of the main characters narcisiastic
and OCD resembling daily
rituals and thoughts. For example a lenghtly deconstruction on the
hyighs and lows of the 80s band Huey lewis and the news and a clinical
breakdown of a obsessive self grooming ritual. Whilst tis is going on
and the
reader is almost hynotised by the mundanety and so dropping
their guard for the autrhor to slip in ''as matter of fact'' details of
what makes this character a psychopath. Geniously written and in a
format, like other Ellis pieces, makes you ponder how autobiographical
the peice is, which only adds to the intrigue. People who like this bok
typically warm to works by Luke Rhineheart, J G Ballard, David Lynch,
William Burroughs and Charles Bukowski. Enjoy.
