There comes a time in our life when we have worked really hard behind a special dream but all of sudden we are struck halfway.
Out of
depression we just leave that special dream behind. This has happened many times in my life. Many of my dreams lies scattered somewhere. Because uptil now to dreaming was
important for me not striving for it. Its realization hardly mattered.
I never loved reading novels. They were too big. One day in a great depression I just picked up Paulo Cohelo’s The Alchemist and it changed my life after that. I have learnt to dream again and follow the omens. At least this book has thaught me to follow the omens. It has increased my observation power. Observing Omens, people and incidences which guides me towards realizing my dreams. Paulo has written a book which I term as my Bible / Gita in times of depression. The Alchemist has given me some wonderful words Like Maktub – it is destined. Now Failure or Success hardly matters me. Similarly a very beautiful sentence “Before a dream is realized, the soul of world tests everything that was learned along the way” doesn’t allows me to stop half way. The book gives a wonderful lesson on positive attitude.
Paulo guides you towards your dream realization through the journey of young Shepard Santiago. Through Santiago he gives us a simple message of sticking hardly to whatever we believe in. It is important to dream and more important is achieving it come what may.
