Lara Lewis (45) is married to an important child surgeon. Her
husband works almost every day and travels a lot for work.
Lara suspects that her
husband is unfaithful to her. Bill, Lara’s husband, has once again to go on a trip and gets in the car with Melissa Kenney, his much younger assistant. Lara is angry. She has just planned a second
honeymoon for both of them in France, the same as in their first honeymoon.
Lara feels miserable and decides to retreat to their summerhouse at the Pacific and takes her dog Dex with her. A couple of days later her porch gets broken and she calls someone to repair it. To her surprise Dan Holland is a very attractive, charming young man. A romance starts. Although Dan is much younger he shows a lot of interest in Lara and on her side she seems to forget her problems with Bill.
Out of the blue she invites Dan, whom she hardly knows, to take the trip to France with her. She does not tell him that it was supposed to be her second honeymoon. They have a romantic trip starting in Paris and Lara has the best time of her life. Sometimes they have a little row, but Dan always makes it up to her.
One day her daughter calls her up, but as she is in the shower Dan picks up the pone. Her daughter starts immediately with the question how her second honeymoon is going, thinking she has her mother on the phone. Dan is completely stunned and he has a big fight with Lara. After that he walks away. So she decides to drive back to Paris in the rental car and when she enters the Ritz Hotel she finds Bill there. He wants to start all over again.
Bill and Lara go to eat at the most expensive hotel in Paris. But Bill is very rude to Lara and she has to go to the ladies room to wash away her tears. In the meantime Dan also enters the restaurant and has an argument with Bill. When she gets back to the table, Dan has just left. Lara then goes to the airport to take a plane back to America. She has to wait for some time at the bar, and suddenly finds Dan next to her. They realize they belong together and really love each other. So they take the plane together.
