1984

Book Review by: nickysirius

Original Author: George Orwell
Write your abstract here. 1984 is a story who reflects the domination and the submission of the people taking into
consideration the situation of the post 2° world war and the Cold war just beginning. In particular Orwell describes 3 parts of the world divided into capitalism, socialism and the rest. Stalin is the model of the Big Brother and Trotsky is Goldstein.
In this case the problem of the reality and the representation of the reality comes from the feelings that people have. The story has a negative connotation and would reflect the end of the world, the end of free expression in every sense. In a way it is quite realistic because try to construct the idea of socialism and imperialism which was real at the end of 1940s. Nowadays we can watch the tv programme quite based on the book and the idea of Orwell although it is of other matters.
