Forbidden age

Book Review by: Gicagdo

Original Author: Torcuato Luca de Tena
During one of his walks by the beach, Anastasio, a shy and silent adolescent befriends Enrique, a happy boy with a strong
personality who leads a group of crazy young men.Whilst the civil war devastates Spain, both of them grow as they discover the world: Anastasio, insecure and passionate as he is, will accept the arousal of his sexuality with fear and distrust. Enrique will grow old steadily, with the impulse of someone who wishes to know the secrets of life.Amongst all of Torcuato Luca de Tena''s woks, Forbidden age is probably one of the most ambitious, rithmic, and calmly tense. His ability for observation, his study of the characters, the bright of his style make this piece an extraordinary novel.
