Things fall apart

Book Review by: Anonymous

Original Author: Chinua achebe
Things fall apart is a tragedy which depicts the invasion of the tradition, culture and norms of a village called umuofia

In the bookOkonkwo is potrayed as the champion of the village by his prowess in wrestling, farming and wealth. it is even more higlighted when Okonkwo faces off the white colonists for the continuance of the culture and traditione he holds dear. when the village denied him support, by not reacting when he beheads the messenger, he takes his own life and ended up being treated as the opposite of  what he was in lfe- a wealthy and respected ma- by recieving the burial rite of a sucide victim which is being thrown into the evil forest.
