Who''s Afraid to Virginia Woolf?

Book Review by: AllanChristopherPuri

Original Author: Edward Albee
It was one of the most popular play, which rich in satiric and also presents a grim  yet comic sexual duel between the
middle age Martha and her husband, George, a history of a professor at a small college. Martha invites a new instructor, who turns out opportunist, and his barren wife for a drink.
During the drunken night that follows, the four character’s inhibitions dissolve, and their increasingly sadistic arguments and behavior reveal the individual and shared secrets and despairs that have degraded their lives, The most striking aspect o9f the play is sadornic humor that characterizes the verbal exchanges.
