During my student days, studying Shakespeare was an difficult task. Thanks to the internet, students today can click on SparkNotes
and read a summarized version of Shakespeare's plays in simple and narrative English.
The site was created by Harvard students for all students. This site has assisted my daughter, her classmates and myself (I'm a hands-on mom!) on several occasions. Summaries per act are given so that today's students can follow & understand the storyline. A link to No Fear Shakespeare is also present that gives a simplified version of the plays which helps today's students appreciate the lyric poetry of Shakespeare without having to learn archaic English.
This site also offers summaries for biology, history and other classic literature.
