There is nothing around me everywhere,
I'm standing in a desert
alone,
No oasis, no palms, no scorching sun,
not a blade of grass has grown.
Everything has stopped changing, moving,
only
silence... both far and near;
in this silence , from everywhere,
your voice I can always hear.
Night has descended around me,
no moon has risen to shine ;
no stars light up the night sky,
silence
covers both hill and ravine.
In the silence of this night,
where I cannot feel or touch me ;
from within the depths of my heart,
I look with your eyes and see.
My heart yearns now for this silence,
silence that stills my mind ;
everytime silence covers my soul,
your touch in it I can find,
Then this silence becomes dear to me,
I long for it from my very heart ;
for in this silence you're alone,
and I know we will never part.
