Shade
Of Gold
as the sunset begins to fade
i paint my soul with shade of gold
in my heart where it
is laid
lie its true color untold.
in our world where everything seems plain
beneath it are sorrows and guilt
same in my
life
that was bond in chain
patterned like my grandmothers quilt
misery, it seems my life would be
i never fought, i just let it go
although its hard for me to say im happy
but everyday life goes the different way
i never had the opportunity to see
what life has meant for me
but all i wanted is just to go on
to what surprise life prepares for me
