Receiving as I have over the last 2 years great numbers of emails from
Turkey I assure everyone I am very appreciative ...and I have written
some
poems in relation to all of this under the title of
"Mind Invasion" and I asssure you its not a "rip off" of Tom Paulin
or any great poet at all ... its merely a few
choice lines here and
there picked up on the streets of Southampton, London, and
Winchester, and quickly jotted down in stanza form and all poetical
rules are truly and absolutely obeyed at all costs.
One poem is entitled "She talks about no one else" and deals
with obsession ... I have often repeated that its a shame we
cannot but include and exclude our favourite writers, rock stars,
or favourite people of one''s own age and generation otherwise - and
all of this continuous repetition becomes an "obsession".
/Heightened awareness/ /pleasure increases/
with the familiar ... dont you remember the old saying "never talk to
strangers" and I looked at my own initials which are ST and suddenly
realized that they could be translated as Total Strangers..
backwards ... for backward people ..
/the poorest people in the world/
/african trek/
/sharpen your skills/
and I encouraged my friends and family to support these
good causes but not lay themselves open to the criticism of throwing good money away or failing to pay your own way in life you are so keen to help others out you cannot see the wood for the trees -
well I have not heard it all before and its news to me ...
