Rapidly the drops moisten the dirt,
My hand outstretched to feel the rain:
Gradually do they flood
the earth,
A drop of love to shake away the pain.
But I could just hear the rain patter,
While her thoughts drenched my mind.
Like the many drops my heart would scatter,
When her fading face I could not find.
It rained endlessly that night,
As if the heavens were expressing my pain,
Her charming face vanished from my sight;
My hand outstretched couldn''t feel the rain.
I went to sleep, sadness on my brow:
And in my dream I saw the rain and she;
As i got drenched in drops of tears,
She came running just to hug me.
