None ever appear! So the notion that the author must flog the book to death is not "On" in England certainly as it would be seen to have put other people''s noses out of joint!
Mind you, I did do a lot of dropping in at the local bookstore in Englsih Cities and Towns and tried the chat line .......... introduce myself, mention my book is /on sale/at www.waterstones.com ........... and take it from there.
It didnt go down all that well as they are busy with ... the Christmas Rush ... the New Year Sale ......... the January Book Sales ..... so now that its February I hope they dont get left with egg on their faces by not
marketing,
selling and promoting .. my book, ROCK ME a collection of Poems ... in English. My face is clean as a new pin!
I had taken to sending postcards all over the world to advertise ROCK ME and some people write back to me even in French .. so fingers crossed the Sales are UP as I certainly have /done my bit./ for marketing, selling and promotion locally ..... I have written to all the major Universities in the country and I have even sent an electronic postcard to
Prague Post Prague Czech Republic ............ their /woman/ is Marketa Faustova .. so I hope my book is a big financial success in Prague!
