Review on “I Had No Time to Hate” by Emily Dickinson

‘I Had No Time to Hate’ is an exquisite lyric on the theme of love and the futility; producing no useful result; pointless; of entertaining hatred or bitterness against anyone, during the brief span of human life. In the narrator’s opinion, she had no time to hate because the grave would hinder her. Since life is not so ample; enough or more than enough; plentiful: large and accommodating; as to finish her enmity; the state of being an enemy; hostility. Similarly she did not have the time to demonstrate so much love, but since some industry; hard work; must be the little toil; work extremely hard or incessantly: move somewhere slowly and with difficulty: exhausting work; of love she thought be large enough for her.
