poet relecting the very seasons and surprises of her prairie home of Swift Current, Saskatchewan. She focuses
on the farm families that surrounded her, their struggles to survive the triumph of local hockey players and curlers the sometimes harsh yet beautiful environment.
It is clear why she recieved the Pat Lowther Poetry Award with poems like Drought and Solitude we can feel what its like to scrape the very bottom of the soul for survival.
