Miss Cordelia Tyninghame seeks a little adventure and gets far more than she bargains for when she leaves her home in Edinburgh to travel to London. Before leaving home, she had secured an invitation from an old friend of her father’s. Everything seemed properly organized so Delia and her companion Morag Lochmaddy set off on their tour.Once at their intended destination, however, the two ladies are in for quite a shock. It would seem that Delia’s father friend, the Earl, had passed and his son now held his estate. This man neither wanted company nor welcomed guests. In fact, his housekeeper had answered Delia’s letter hoping to snap the present Earl, Rupert Deverall Manningford, out of his miserable funk. The biggest surprise was yet to come. Delia’s shock was immediate, as soon as she saw Rupert. All were about to be in for the shock of their lives when Delia took off her veil and revealed that she and the Earl could pass for twins. Where they in fact siblings or is there some other explanation?
