It was a summer Friday in the month of June. The plane had just landed and I was by the waving gallery. She did not know that I was aware of her arrival.
She was the first person to appear out of the door. I was moved with awe as I have not seen her for almost three years. I watched her as she glided with grace to the arrival lounge. I was filled with excitement, as I have discovered new desire for her.
I have known Elsie for some ten years now, but did not have any romantic feelings for her until of lately, as she had related to me over the phone the fact that she was divorced. As for me my relationship was also at rock bottom. I then started to pay attention to her as I realized that she was a very romantic person.
She was always an attractive person putting herself together and wore modest clothing that would command your attention.  Her smile would give a glow that even through her troubled times it seems to outshine the sun.   As she cleared the arrival area I quickly move around to the entrance so that I would bump into her by the exit. As I bumped into her I behaved as if I did not know she was arriving as I was told by her sister that I saw in the supermarket the previous week. "O! Elsie what a pleasant surprise you have returned after these few years." I exclaimed. I was filled with thrill and she seemed very surprised. "   "Yes Mark" she replied as my leg became weak, from the thrill of her voice.
I did not want to be in contact with her family at the moment as well as the fact that her sister was the one who mentioned her arrival, so I quickly made an excuse and said. "Seeing that you are here I will be in touch with you before you return to the States." So I moved on quickly. As I moved off I kept looking back as she moved to the waiting area to meet relatives.
For that evening as I went home to sleep it was an impossible task as it was only Elsie on my mind. Each time I closed my eyes I saw that beautiful smile coming through like a wonderful sunshine on a very cloudy day. I struggled throughout the night to get even a little sleep but it was a very difficult task as sleep left me as far as the East is from the West. It was more labor for me than rest.
The Saturday mourning I was up early ready to take my journey to the country to visit Elsie as she was staying with her relatives in a wonderful rural area.  At 6 O'clock the sun was already up in all it's Glory, the birds were singing and the day already seems to be full of life that has never been experienced before. I felt a challenge of strength that I have never felt before in all my life as I was on my way to meet the one who has brought a new lease on life to me
