Book Review   by:Flowerydress     Original Author: Belen Eguinoa

This abstract was translated from Desde el último verano

Last summer Deer and Nike spent together, she was 13 and he was 15, and they couldt help Nike''s family moving to the other side of the world. Both teenagers had spent together each summer since they were children, and during this last one, they had discovered love in its more innocent and naive way. Nike moves to Australia in a moment of time when there are not cellular phones, nor internet, and they completely stop being in touch. Ten years later, Deer, just married, travels with her husband to the African jungle, cause he has to spend some time there due to his job. Unexpectedly, she meets Nike in the working camp, and she doesn''t know if she has to thank destiny or not. The novel mixes past and present in a way that helps the reader to understand and feel all the emotions, the internal fighting, and the passion of the characters, taking us finally, as usual in this kind of novel, to the success of love over all the difficulties.
