"Remember" is a
romance novel by Barbara Taylor Bradford. The story is commonplace and the ending, quite predictable.
Nicky Wells is a
television war correspondent. She covers the Tiananmen Square together with the photographer and her good friend, Cleeland Donavan. Their
work coverage is practically the content of the first half of the book. Thrown to each other's work, Nicky and Cleeland realize they are in love. Everything's rosy and smooth, romance in the air.
The plot only
starts to thicken when one day, in the crowds on television news report, Nicky spots her ex-fiance Charles Devereaux, who is allegedly believed to have committed suicide some three years ago. The chase starts as Nicky tries to track down Devereaux. Ultimately, his secret double life is revealed with a reasonably simple explanation.
