Azzam, a humble young man that in
study at Al Azhar college. But because of his duty as the oldest son in the
family after his father''s passed away, he''s the one that finance his family''s life at Solo. So, besides as a
college student, he also works hard to fulfill his duty as head of his family. For helping his mother and his sister to get a better education,
Azzam willing leave his college for temporary and focusing to sell tempe (fermented soy cake) and meat balls. Although sometimes he''s been jealous looks his friends that have been graduated, even some of his friend almost done his master degree, but Azzam realizes if he''s not similar with his friends. Azzam has been known as tempe man at Indonesian student that study at Al Azhar. Besides that Azzam often been invited by Indonesian ambassador at Egypt to fulfill consumption on many occasion. So besides famousat Indonesian college, Azzam also well known on ambassadors. From here he knows Eliana. Azzam is a clear and humble man. He''s so tough in keeping Islamic principal''s on his everyday''s lifes. Eliana, daughter of one''s Indonesian ambassador can attract her heart. Eliana is a perfect woman physically. Ambassador''s daughter, beautiful, and one''s Germany college graduation. Besides that she''s also starred in some movies at Indonesia. But that Islamic principle makes he can skim his feelings. Right here he also meet Anna Althafunnisa, a woman that he wants to propose but then he''s been rejected by her family because Azzam is not proper enough for her. Then Azzam can continue his study after his sister finish her study. After he''s been graduated with a
good mark, after 9 years separated without ever going home, he''s been home among his family. This sequel of When Love praise God still very interesting in the story line. So many surprise''s given by Kang Abik, from little surprise until the big ones that never been expected. This surprise for is so interesting because a few case''s really in contradiction with all character that''s so Islamic. The cases are really unexpected will be happened on characters that really obedient in religion. If in the first series, there is HIV case that logically very far from Azzam''s life, in the second stories also give "impossible" cases that''s been happened on an obedient at religion. The
writer can guarantee, this surprises can make tha reader never let go this novel until the last page. Harmony from chapter to chapter is so great. It can be look from a neat story
line from the beginning until the end. Kang Abik''s skill in writing novel with a great story and an unexpected story line never been confused by the Islamic novel lovers at Indonesia. This great stories can take our mood also have many moral advise. But, great story has to be fused with a good technique in editing. If not, it will be disturbed the readers. This is happened in the When Love Praise God 2. Writer has found many typo in this novel. Besides that there''s many wrong character''s name. As an example, on a situation that only Husna and Azzam, in one conversation Azzam called Anna. Imagine when you read a great story line, then one character''s name writer is wrong. That''s really disturb our concentration and our satisfaction. According to the writer, a good novel not only on a story but also on a full package included editing technique. Maybe this novel only quite good because a full package of a good novel can''t be found in this novel. According to another reader, it''s because of the process of editing in only one month. But it can''t be a reason, because the reader wouldn''t mind to wait a little bit longer to get a novel with a good package and quality.
