Not quite a femme fatale in the ordinary sense of the word,
pretty lady is a spider. A spider that preys on wealthy old generals who are on
the nethers of life. Despite the trappings of her upper-end life she is unhappy
for she doesn’t love the men she stays with. She wants to be free to give
herself to her love wholeheartedly but is held back by the desire to marry
wealthy old generals who will pamper her. Her claim of being driven to do what
she does by poverty is plausible but the magnet that makes her stay in such
arrangements strikes one as self centred.
She stands in her own way to happiness.
