Pride and Prejudice

This is the most popular novel of Jane Austen. It is the romantic comedy in the history of the novel.


 The novel primarily focuses on the Bennet family consist of Mr. and Mrs. Bennet and their five daughters "Elizabeth, Jane, Mary, Kitty and Lydia. Mrs. Bennet’s sole interest in life is to see her five daughters married to wealthy men and she does everything in her power to complete this objective.


The exciting twists start coming in the story after arrival of a rich man Mr. Bingley in their neighborhood.  Mrs. Bennet immediately assumes him a match for Jane, her second daughter. Jane and Mr. Bingle also start attracting towards each other but meanwhile Bingle’s friend Darcy creates a kind of impression that Jane is not serious for him so Bingle begins to turn his attention elsewhere. The eldest sister Elizabeth feels that Jane and Bingle are perfect match for each other. She becomes very furious when she realizes that Darcy is keeping them apart. Elizabeth declares that Mr. Darcy is proud and imperious and also reaches to a conclusion that "Darcy is the last man on earth I could ever be persuaded to marry".


Initially Darcy and Elizabeth hate each other but later fate intervenes to bring them close and  they decided to work on their misunderstanding.   Then they both realize that that the first impressions may not always be right. At the end of the story then amdly fall in love each other and decide to get married.
