Drea Rousseau was a mistress to a mobster named Rafael Salinas and she knew that Salinas had been under the surveillance of the FBI for a long time. Although Drea was living in a mobster world, she kept herself distant from Rafael’s activities. When Simon Goodnight, a professional hitman, arrived to get payment from Rafael, Rafael threw in Drea in the deal. Drea was furious and scared that she would be subjected to sexual slavery under Simon. However she was surprised that the man can be so gentle, kind and generous to her. After their sexual encounter, Drea wanted revenge against Salinas for dispensing her so easily. Not being a total ignorant during her stay with Salinas, she learned Salinas bank account and email password and had his money transferred to her name. She went out of the apartment indicating to Salinas that she’s going shopping. Outside, she threw in a disguise and shook off Salinas’s bodyguards. She escaped and ran far away back to her hometown which Salinas didn’t have any knowledge of. When Salinas found out Drea’s thievery he was enraged and he hired Simon to look for Drea and kill her. Simon admired Drea’s resourcefulness and quick thinking but he was still able to locate her presence. Drea knew that when Simon showed up in her hometown, she didn’t have a chance of getting out alive. While she was fleeing from Simon, her car accidentally fishtailed off a cliff and there she met her death. Simon regretted that Drea had to die that way. Despite being hired to kill her, he couldn’t forget her beauty and courage.
In a supernatural turn of events, Drea was given a second chance in life and was revived back. Her recovery was miraculous that she didn’t sustain any permanent injury. She decided that this time her life would be different. Out of a whim, Simon wanted to find out where Drea was buried and it was shock to him to learn that she was alive. Simon decided that this time he would protect her especially from Salinas if he learned that she was still alive. After 6 months, Drea finally noticed that Simon was back. But before she could escape, Simon told her that he wasn’t going to kill her. Simon and Drea became lovers. When Drea confessed to Simon that she wanted to bring Salinas down, Simon refused to let her because she could be endangered. But Drea knew she owed her life and the only way to repay it was to hand Salinas to the authorities. Simon knew that Drea could be stubborn and the only way to protect her this time was to take out Salinas himself before Drea could get herself killed.
