The story opens describing Daniel''s release day from the army, after going through the usual bureaucracy he leaves the base
with Freddy the gunsmith who moved him around while returning the weapon. Freddy is a Don Juan, loved by the girls
In Ashkelon Freddy makes Daniel an offer which is hard to refuse, spending the last night of his army service with some girls. Daniel accepts the offer and there he meets a beautiful high school girl by the name of Nira, who charms him completely.
Later on a romantic relationship is developed between them; he begins working as a clerk in the bank and tries to keep in touch with Nira. Limited by the distance between where they live. Nira lives in Ashkelon and Daniel in Bat-Yam.
Even though they meet only once a week, the relationship between them deepens until unfortunately, something happens and the connection is cut off.
Nira mysteriously disappears, Daniel is shocked by the fact that his reality is totally uncertain, he goes on quest after Nira, and maybe after the certainness which also disappears from his life.
In his quest he learns the complex of his reality and other realities, the world around him is filled with colorful figures that are either fighting or supporting him.
He finds things about himself which he did not know before, like the fact that his short-sight gives him qualities which others do not have.
Daniel meets a woman who teaches him the facts of life, but he doesn''t forget Nira.
In the later stages of his journey, Freddy returns to the picture and as it turned out, has much influence over Daniel''s life.
Eventually, after many changes, we find out what happened to Nira and the end is very surprising and exiting.
The story takes place in the 70''s and has a touch of nostalgia for scenery and people
